History

Emilism was founded back in 2006 in my very first journal. I was fourteen at the time and I milked the invention of Emilism for all it was worth. I had ten commandments, a theme tune (oh yes) and 'Famous People of Emilism', i.e. celebrities I liked. It was very cheesy to start with but it did set up the basic principles for what I would come strongly to believe in. The first time I considered Emilism seriously was when I created my first Facebook account. I was asked in my profile about my religious and political views, and I thought "what are they?". My religious views would probably most suit being listed as Atheism, for all intents and purposes I am an Atheist. But we are all also Agnostic. Those nutters really bug me who say: "pick your religion, be Atheist if you must but be brave enough not to sit on the fence". This is, of course, ridiculous. We are all sitting on the fence whether we like it or not; we can have our beliefs, kill for them, die for them... but in the end, none of us has a clue where the world comes from, how it came to be here, why it came to be here and whether or not it's all just one big dream. So, while I called myself an Atheist, I knew it was more than that. So I stopped trying to adjust who I was to fit in with an already established category, instead I used my own. It makes so much sense when you step back and take a look at it.

I am hosted by the wonderful Kya from Bubble.nu, and there is no host I would recommend more. I've been with Kya's hosting for about a year now and have had no trouble, she offers a friendly community, full hosting support and entirely free domain and sub-domain hosting packages to those of us who've had enough of expensive monthly payments without any customer support.

Her packages are fit around your individual needs and she is always happy to help out. She is possibly the most selfless person on the net, I don't know any hosting provider (even the expensive ones) who offers as many goodies and services as Kya. Applying for hosting at Bubble was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
